The Water Crisis in Nepal
In Nepal’s remote villages, 4 out of 10 people still lack access to clean drinking water. Contaminated rivers, open wells, and broken pipelines are the everyday sources for many — leading to deadly waterborne illnesses like cholera, dysentery, and typhoid. Children under five are the most affected, with hundreds losing their lives every year due to poor sanitation and untreated water.

Why Clean Water Matters
- 💧 Health Impacts: Waterborne diseases cause 30% of child deaths.
- 📚 Education Barriers: Children skip school to help fetch water.
- 💸 Economic Burden: Families spend up to 25% of income on water-related illnesses.
- 👩🦰 Gender Inequality: Women walk 4+ hours daily to fetch water.
